A visit to the *Markt* (market) is a great way to buy fresh local produce in Germany. This roleplay helps you interact with a German-speaking vendor, ask for prices, and pay for your groceries.
In German, to ask for the price of plural items (like apples), you use "Wie viel kosten sie?" (How much do they cost?). When you want to say "I'll take a kilo", you simply say "ich nehme ein Kilo" (I take a kilo) using the present tense. The change you get back after paying is called "das Wechselgeld".
| German Phrase | English Translation |

| Zwei Euro pro Kilo | Two euros a kilo |
| Ich nehme ein Kilo | I'll take a kilo |
| Möchten Sie noch etwas? | Anything else? |

| Das Wechselgeld | The change |
